Meet the Jumbo Junior Bass, an electro-acoustic 4-string bass with a unique sound and easy to carry. A solid Sitka spruce top and flame maple back were chosen to resemble the tonewoods that have been used in the construction of upright basses for centuries, resulting in a clean, tight and bassy tone that is at the same time impressive due to its reduced size. The back, sides and arm feature a satin antique blonde finish, which adds a rich depth and unique character to the "waters" of the wood. The deep sound of the Jumbo Junior Bass can be amplified or recorded using Guild's built-in piezo-system, AP-1 Active Acoustic Piezo, with adjustable volume and tone. Other special features include an ebony fingerboard and bridge, a bone nut and saddle bridge, a mother-of-pearl rosette and the Guild headstock logo, tortoiseshell pickguard.
